AMAZON

What’s the rationale?

Profit ($) ≥ $2

  • For emerging products, a minimum profit of $2 per unit allows you to capture items that may start with lower yields but have significant scaling potential.

Net Margin (%) ≥ 12%

  • A 12% net margin ensures the product is profitable while accommodating early-stage items that haven’t yet reached peak margins.

ROI (%) ≥ 12%

  • Sorting by ROI in descending order highlights deals with the best return potential; a 12% floor reflects the average expected return on emerging deals.

Amazon Seller Instock Rate (30d) ≤ 30%

  • Limiting the 30-day instock rate to 30% ensures Amazon isn’t overly dominating the Buy Box, increasing your chance to capture sales as the product gains momentum.

Amazon Is Seller

  • This display-only field shows if Amazon is actively selling the product, which can affect competition and Buy Box dynamics.

Average Rating ≥ 3.8

  • A slightly lower rating threshold recognizes that promising new products may initially have fewer reviews; as more customers rate the product, quality perception tends to improve.

Sales Rank ≤ 150,000

  • Setting the sales rank ceiling at 150k captures products with enough demand to be viable while allowing room for growth.

Competitive Sellers ≤ 5

  • Allowing up to 5 competitors is acceptable for emerging products, which typically face moderate competition that doesn’t severely dilute sales if momentum is present.

Sales Rank Drops 30d ≥ 3 (if available)

  • A minimum of 3 sales rank drops in the past 30 days is a strong signal of upward momentum, indicating growing customer demand.
